Dwayne Bravo has suffered a grade 1 tear on his groin and will be leaving the UAE on Tuesday.
The information regarding his injury has been announced by Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan.
Dwayne Bravo suffered his injury in CSK’s loss to the Delhi Capitals.

He bowled three overs and was to bowl the final over the innings.
The injury, however, kept him off the field with 17 to get off the final over.

Due to the injury, MS Dhoni had to give the ball to Ravindra Jadeja, who conceded three sixes in the final over.
Bravo missed the game against the Royals, and the news came out that he was diagnosed with a groin injury. The groin injury keeps him for a couple of weeks.

Bravo had already missed the initial part of the IPL due to an injury sustained in the Caribbean Premier League.
During the Caribbean Premier League, he played for the champions, Trinbago Knight Riders. He was injured in the final and played as a batsman for that one game.

Dwayne Bravo has won the purple cap twice for Chennai Super Kings in 2013 and 2015

During the tournament, he became the first bowler to take 500 wickets in T20 cricket.
This season he featured in six matches for the Chennai Super Kings and took six wickets. He bowled at a rate of 8.57 runs per over. His batting wasn’t used much as he only got to bat twice in the six games.

While bowling Dwayne Bravo was predominantly used at the end and middle overs, he has been an asset for Dhoni.
He bowled the final over on numerous occasions and is still a bowler that Dhoni trusts in the death immensely.
His injury not only depletes the Super Kings, who are looking at their first league stage exit in IPL history.

Dwayne Bravo is a part of the West Indies T20 squad to tour New Zealand for three T20s.
His injury may raise issues regarding his ability as he may not be back to full fitness time.

Having lost seven of the first ten games, the most consistent side of the IPL are almost out, with Dhoni conceding that their season may be over.
The CEO, Kasi Viswanath, stated that it is a tough pill to swallow, with the Chennai Super Kings not going to the playoffs.

He further added that the team is very keen and confident that they can finish on a high and have the potential to do much better than what they did this season.

The dressing- room atmosphere remains promising as the players are still willing to fight.
Hopefully, the Chennai Super Kings can end their season on a high and come back fighting for IPL 2021.

With key players like Suresh Raina and Dwayne Bravo likely to comeback for IPL 2021, let us hope that the Chennai Super Kings and Mahendra Singh Dhoni roar again hard and long and play like the Chennai Super Kings the fans are used to seeing.

Dwayne Bravo has been a part of the Chennai Super Kings from 2011.

He was retained by the Super Kings in 2013 and bought back by the side using the Right-To-Match card in 2018.

His experience has been immense to MS Dhoni and he has been a very reliable bowler in the death.

With his slower balls and accurate yorkers, Dwayne Bravo is a tough bowler to play in the end.

Along with his bowling, Bravo has provided CSK with some crucial runs in the lower order before.

He is a gun fielder and a great motivator with his energetic celebrations.
