It was written, it was scripted, and it was destined. Pakistan lost the two-Test match 2-0 against the mighty New Zealand and they did it in style, winning the second Test by an innings and 176 runs.
Kyle Jamieson, coming into the match just five matches old, becomes the latest entrant to the 10-wicket match haul as he ended with the match figures of 11-117. With the victory, New Zealand finished their home summer with the perfect result of four wins in four matches. First they handed West Indies a whitewash and now the same fate was given to Pakistan.

Pakistan started the day at 8-1 with Shan Masood who received his third duck in four innings was out to Kyle Jamieson before play was closed on day three.
Pakistan had to bat out two days after getting trailed by 362 runs in their second innings. That never happened again with the absence of their star batsman Babar Azam, who was out because of a thumb injury.

Although a bit of overs passed but Pakistan never had a good partnership from their batsmen. Kyle Jamieson was the culprit on almost every occasion for getting rid of the Pakistani batsmen never allowing them to settle in.
Abid Ali and Haris Sohail, along with Shan Masood, also ended their dismal tour of New Zealand. Sohail just managed to score 28 runs across four innings.
Azhar Ali, the hope that Pakistan had was dismissed at the score of 37, the joint-highest score in the innings, and the innings score became 88-5.
The next man to get out was the captain, the leading run-scorer for Pakistan in the tour, Mohammad Rizwan and it had to be a jaffa from the big man, Jamieson. An incoming delivery that goes between bat and pad to hit the timbers.
After that it was just the matter of time. The team was out for just 186 runs before some resistance from Faheem Ashraf and the debutant Zafar Gohar.
Pakistan lost by an innings and 176 runs.
New Zealand become the world number 1 Test team
With the 2-nil victory over Pakistan, New Zealand are now the world number 1 Test team and they have done it for the first time ever. Truly blew the opposition with the pace of their pacemen.
New Zealand now have completed five series, winning three of them. They are now have 420 points to their name, the most from all the teams and now have every possible chance to play the final of the World Test Championship at the Lord’s Cricket Ground. Now, they have to wait and watch some of the results of the other series.

Kyle Jamieson was the star of the show for the second Test match. He became the latest entry to the 10-wicket match haul after his two five-fors in the match. In the first innings he had figures of 5-69 and in the second innings he returned with the figures of 6-48, thus had match figures of 11-117. Jamieson was the leading wicket-taker in the series with 16 scalps to his name.
Kyle Jamieson how have played six Test matches and now engraved his place in the team that is regarded as one of the best. In twelve innings in which he has bowled so far, Jamieson has 36 wickets to his name with four five-fors and an average of 13.27.
Kyle Jamieson was the man of the match for his 11 wickets in the match.
Kane Williamson was the man of the series for his 388 runs and two centuries in the series.
