Melbourne Renegades vs Sydney Sixers, 18th Match Prediction and Betting tips

Melbourne Renegades as they host Sydney Sixers for the 18th match of the Big Bash League on Tuesday. The match will be played at the Carrara Oval, Queensland and is scheduled to get underway at 5:10 PM local time.

Scores of 60 and 80 in two of their last two matches sums up the Melbourne Renegades performance in the tournament. Consequently, with a win and three losses, they’re placed at the bottom of the points table. They’ll be taking on the Sydney Sixers, who are on a roll with three wins in four games.

It’s not that Melbourne Renegades is bad as a batting unit. In Shaun Marsh and Aaron Finch, they have one of the best openers. Sam Harper, Rilee Rossow, Beau Webster and Mohammed Nabi, all are quality batsmen but it’s not the names but the performances that’ll win you games.

Melbourne Renegades is definitely capable of beating the best sides but they’ll need collective performances from all their team members. The bowling too is not at it’s best with Will Sutherland, Peter Hatzoglou, Mohammed Nabi not bowling well. Kane Richarson looks like getting some of his form back but he’s far away from his peak. Overall, think are not looking good for Renegades at the moment. They definitely have the team to turn things around but against Sydney Sixers it won’t be easy.

Daniel Hughes magnificent 96 helped Sydney Sixers clinch a magnificent win over Melbourne Stars. In their previous match against Renegades, it was the magic of Josh Philippe that helped Sixers propel to a mammoth 205. It has been a feature of Sydney Sixers in the tournament that they’ve been able to find one player that gets a very big score and other players can revolve around him.

They included Daniel Christian, Jason Holder, and Carlos Brathwaite in the last match which gives them 6 genuine bowling options and adds a lot of depth in their batting.

Steve oKeefe have been bowling pretty well and we expect the pitch to help him even more in the next game. Ben Manenti, Ben Dwarshius and plenty of all rounders make them a giant team that’ll be very hard to beat.

Pitch Report and Conditions

The 18th Match of Big Bash League 2020-21 is going to be held at Carrara Oval, Queensland. We had observed in the previous matches played here that the pitch here at this venue is good for batting. The track is slower than the others we have seen and helps the spinners quite a bit. We are hoping that the surface is bound to get slower and be a bit more difficult for batting in this match. A score of 185 is going to be tough to chase.
