Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah star in the 4th win for Mumbai Indians as the defending champions rallied to the top of the points table. Yadav 79 off 47 balls was handy in reaching a total of 193 before Jasprit Bumrah routed through RR batsmen with a 4-wicket haul, his first in T20s. chasing team was bundled out at 136 in 18.1 overs.
The 20th match of IPL 2020 was between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals. Ben Stokes had already arrived in UAE but still in his mandatory quarantine period, so he missed the match. Winning the toss and batting first, Mumbai posted a mammoth total of 193 courtesy Suryakumar brilliance, his score of 79 is his highest in IPL, and helps from others. A packed bowling unit of Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, James Pattinson then routed through RR batsmen to register the win by 57 runs.

Quinton de Kock, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, and Kieron Pollard. That is Mumbai’s batting line-up. The good thing is each one of them had performed in matches so far and helped Mumbai registering four wins.
This match belonged to Suryakumar Yadav. Such a complete batting unit allows you to play freely and Yadav brought his highest IPL score.
Another solid start by MI openers, de Kock was the first to go. Kartik Tyagi, who was on his T20 debut, got de Kock with a quick bouncer which he sliced into the hands of Jos Buttler.
Suryakumar Yadav was the next man to come. Other batsmen helping him and striking on their own take the final score to 193-4. This includes contributions from Rohit Sharma (35), Krunal Pandya (12), and Hardik Pandya (30). Yadav remained not out on 79 runs.
Shreyas Gopal picked up two wickets on consecutive balls to ped back Sharma and Kishan. Jofra Archer and Tyagi also picked up one wicket each.
Rajasthan Royals innings – Jasprit Bumrah show
Rajasthan Royals didn’t have the best of starts. They were three down inside three overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was the highest run-scorer of the 2020 U19 World Cup in which India reached the final, was undone by Trent Boult on the second ball of the innings. He was caught behind by Quinton de Kock. Score 0-1
This time, Jasprit Bumrah and not James Pattinson opened the bowling for MI. He too struck in his first over dismissing the Royals’ captain, Steve Smith. He was also caught behind by de Kock. Score 7-2.
The next over, Boult once again struck, this time Sanju Samson. He was gone on the third ball without troubling the scorers. Samson had won two man of the match awards in two wins that Royals had so far. It seems that if Rajasthan Royals want to win matches, they would want Sanju Samson to perform every time but not tonight. Score 12-3.
Jos Buttler was the only bright light in the innings for the Royals. He lonely scored more than 50% score of the team’s total. He was out on 70 off 44 balls with a special catch from Pollard. Buttler innings had four 4s and five 6s in it. Score 98-5.
The team folded on 136 in the 19th over to give Mumbai 4th win of the season and 3rd on the trot.
